Genesis chapter 19. God sends two angels to save Lot and his family before Sodom is destroyed. The people of Sodom are wicked. Lot escapes with his wife and two daughters. His wife looks back and turns into a pillar of salt. Lot and his daughters escape to a cave where the daughters give Lot wine and have relations with him becoming pregnant. The older daughter names her son Moab. The younger daughter names her son Ammon.

Genesis chapter 18. Abraham is visited by three guests who are angels who have come to heal him from his circumcision, announce the birth of his son Isaac (Yitzchak), and to destroy Sodom. Abraham and Sarah host the angels lavishly. God tells Abraham that he intends to destroy Sodom because of its wickedness. Abraham pleads on behalf of Sodom, but not even ten righteous people are to be found in Sodom.
